Congrats to the winners!

I though the comments were ok. although one of my beers made it to the 2nd round which made me quite happy. I asked Daniel and he told me they only took 12 into the 2nd round so I'll take that as a small win.

As far as I know Daniel, Mark and maybe an assistant brewer or two go through all the entries to weed the down to ones they could live with. That is not BJCP stuff at all. And in some styles their comments and preferences are, well, ignorant of the style. Daniel really knows German styles. But outside of that he's essentially a layman. Witness how he ruined the IIPA when he first started brewing it.

But it's a good event. Great for beer in town. If anything it serves to show that home brewers make better beer than pro brewers.

This Rye IPA demonstrates my point perfectly.

I guess we need to get Peter a Brewnosers t shirt. That's if he isn't too good for us now.

so happens that I found tucked away a Brewnosers t-shirt from the order with Peter's name on it that never made it to him

My comments were fairly positive and it was my first comp, so I guess I am happy with the result. I liked my batch until I tasted the final four on Thursday, then tried mine again this weekend.....mine is not very good.

Hey all, sorry I missed the event, I was in Mexco drinking tasteless beer until last night. Congrats whistlepig!
