A reminder that the deadline is fast approaching, guys and gals. Beer needs to be in Montreal by July 4th.
I met Andrew at Mondial de Biere yesterday, he is the one organizing the competition. He's looking forward to lot of entries from out East, and has said there are plenty of prizes to be awarded. Well worth the $6 entry (plus shipping).

I'm debating it for fun.
EDIT: I think I will throw at least two entries this way. Rubbertoe - are you packing for this comp?

If I could get this foaming issue under control I'd contemplate putting in the Pineapple ipa.

Best to ask them. They'll probably be fine with it, but a heads up is good.

You should have no probs. It's 3 days to out west so if you send it the end of next week you'll be golden.
Not sure if I'm entering but might just send a couple.
Sent from the brew timer.

Had some emergency repairs at home, along with some planned repairs and a quick trip to NY. My beer never got bottled. Oh well!

Re: MontreAlers' Ales & Lagers Throwdown 2014
Judging finished. I brewed like a bugger to get ready for these three (this one, Because and National Capital). I have a couple of new ones in this comp, including poolside blonde, and another couple on deck for the National Capital. Did anyone else enter this in the end? They had 319 entries.

They posted now that results won't be out for "about a week or two" ...apparently "due to the amazing amounts of entries". I wonder if they need to do more judging sessions.

Maybe. If that's the case though, it would have been nice of them to update earlier.

I got one medal too. I'm not sure if any other Brewnosers entered, no one else said they were.
Edit - 2 medals for Andrew. weizenbock as well. Congrats!
