Just curious if any brewnosers are planning on sending any beer out to the Vancouver competition.
What is the competition like anyway, do they general provide good feedback and get lots of entries?
It seems like a long way to ship but there is a good chance i will be in Vancouver May 10 to 17th which seems to line up with the deadlines. I may have to pack a few in a checked bag.

Re: Vancouver Competition
I entered Vancouver last year I think. It's a lot smaller than ALES, maybe half the size or less, which is still lots of entrants. I remember getting the score sheets back, I should dig them up. I'll probably enter something again this year.

Re: Vancouver Competition
I have a couple beer brewed up that will be ready to submit as well I'm just debating if I should try something a bit out of my comfort range like a lager or something

Lagers are good, and there's usually less competition on those categories too. It sucks having to compete in IPA and Stout all the time with 50+ entries.

Re: Vancouver Competition
However if you take top in the IPA \ Stout category, means your product is that much better when you have that much competition. It's always great to raise the bar.
