Yes good luck everyone. And thanks to the judges, Big Spruce, the organizers and helpers.

I hope someone get's their first competition success here, and get's bitten by the bug.

Judging starts at 1 I believe and should be wrapped up by 4. My understanding is that there were 12 entries. Good luck everyone, always nice to have a competition that is close to home.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Looks like the brewnosers have a good chance at taking it then considering I think we have 8 people that entered.

I'm really surprised we only have 8, seems like with all these competitions everyone's entering we should have had more entries. Busy time of year I guess. Next year hopefully the number go up so this competition continues.

Yea I think it was the amount of time we had between announcing the comp and getting the beers in it was a short timeline. I wasn't sure if I was going to get an entry in, but scrambled to get one in and am happy with the beer so far.

With a dozen entree's and the number of judges, we should hear back fairly soon I figure. I hope they judge my beer first, cause your beer will make mine taste like water lol.

I think it is just wheat beer is not a popular style. Not like IPA last year. I think 12 wheat might be more of an effort than last year's 16 IPAs

The challenge for me this year was the tight timeline. Giving a couple of months notice is a better way to go.
