I just entered another beer. It was allocated # 20. Not sure if mine will end up being confirmed/paid for entries (they might). There's still more than a month to go.

How many bottles do you need to submit. My nut brown was low on volume but would like to enter if possible. I

Bottle Acceptance Rules

Each entry will consist of 12 to 22 ounce capped bottles or corked bottles that are void of all identifying information, including labels and embossing. Printed caps are allowed, but must be blacked out completely.

12oz brown glass bottles are preferred; however, green and clear glass will be accepted. Swing top bottles will likewise be accepted as well as corked bottles.

Bottles will not be returned to contest entrants.

Completed entry forms and recipe sheets must be submitted with all entries, and can be printed directly from this website. Entry forms should be attached to bottles with a rubber band only; glue and/or tape are unacceptable.

Please fill out the entry forms completely. Be meticulous about noting any special ingredients that must be specified per the 2008 BJCP Style Guidelines. Failure to note such ingredients may impact the judges' scoring of your entry.

Brewers are not limited to one entry in each category but may only enter each subcategory once.

It doesn't say. Must be 2 bottles.

I have a few bottles of my nut brown after filling. How much does it normally cost to ship 2 bottles to a comp and which carrier would be the cheapest?

Drive it down to FedEx in Dartmouth or take it to Canada post. Depends on your schedule. You can look up the cost for FedEx online or call them for a quote,

The organizer just waived the entrance fee. All you have to pay now is shipping. We'll see how bottling goes this week for my DIPA.

I'm guessing the number of entrants is still very low.

Is anyone going to send beer to this.. i feel like the shows just going to fold. I still can't add entries. I did email the director and he said they were working on it but its getting close to shipping time for me and i'd hate to send beer out there for nothing.

Do you think it's deliberate to keep the numbers down? Why keep the numbers small? It's a business (home brew store) running this. Is it possible he wants to run a competition for his customers to get them geed up, and wanted to bring in just a few others from the rest of the country to make it look like a nationwide competition? then locked it when he had enough. Not sure. I'm on the fence.
