Tried researching this on Google and couldn't find anything. I signed up and entered a beer, didn't pay for the entry, and the entry number came up as #17. Does that mean they only have 17 entries with 10 days to go? How long does it take to ship beer out there to Victoria any way? Registration opened on Sept 1st.

Brewnosers could potentially take very class, but what would be the point?

Where did you see this announced? Was it only just announced?

There's not many entries yet... I just added one so see the number and it's #18.

Edit: Mark, you beat me to it, hah!

:spilly:

They'd probably consolidate all the classes though, so it would be like a best of show competition with 20 or so entries.

I just did some quick intel and it looks like the organizer was quiet about the competition in order to not get swamped by too many entries. However, that backfired and they don't have many at all, which is making their own club members hesitant as well. It looks like they're planning to dlay the competition until late November / early December in order to advertise it to other clubs and get more entries.

Their forum looks inactive but I was able to get access to their Facebook group (it's closed, needs moderator aproval) - it looks like they do most of their discussion there.

I've just messaged the organiser, I'll let you know. I said we could probably support it with several entries.

If it's in late November or December, my American IPA, altbier, and maybe ordinary bitter will be ready by then, but with Christmas coming up I may not want to spend more money on competitions. We'll have to see I guess.
