On the brewer of the year circuit.

Wasn't expecting this to be in the brewer of the year, but got some down there this week. Arrived today.

Did anyone else send?

Not here...blew the comp budget for the month...yeast wranglers and 2 garrison entries

I sent a couple new beer in thinking it would only be 20 or 30 dollars to send 3 entries... when i got to canada post she told me it would be 50.. ugh.. The beer are too green to do well too which sucks i think they need another week.

Sounds promising. I never figured out "too green". I know when beer is too old though.

Just in this case the beer isn't crystal clear. Where they are all low ABV beers i find they don't really need to be aged at all after the yeast completely drops out. I used gelatin to speed the process up as i normally do but for some reason it didn't have the quick impact it normally does.

Can this be right? only 55 entries. They'll maybe just have a couple of sections.

Thanks, I think some of my beers might be competing against each other. I think it's supposed to be for the brewer students at the college to learn judging. Could be wild.

I had sent three beer to the comp but they are not showing up as paid in the system i wonder if other people are having a similar issue, i paid via paypal but the link back to the site didn't work. I sent them an email but haven't heard back.

Mine got paid ok. Not sure if anyone else entered this one. You could also phone them if you don't hear back. Sounds like it should be ok though. Dave Mozel seems to be the one in charge.

Yah after getting hit hard for shipping i will probably call before the weekend.

A three fold increase, that is a huge jump likely from everyone realizing it was on the circuit this year.

Looks like Amarillo written on the bag. Maybe 14.5oz or 40-ish grams.

But since they didn't come in a nitrogen-flushed hermetically-sealed bag from Hop Union I'm guessing Mark's going to be nervous about using them...
