Mark, you remove those labels for competition, right?GuingesRock wrote:I pulled my entries out of the fridge for packing. I ended up with 14. I suspect a few people may be sending double that. One of the working man has jasmine and the other doesn't (I made a new split batch).

yes. They are printed on removable re-usable paper. It's a lot of work. I've been at it for 4 hours, bottling a few bottles of the latest two batches, removing labels, putting on comp labels and double checking, bubble wrap, packing. I haven't even gone online to print the shipping labels yet. It's no fun sending that many.

Who do you ship through? Do you just do everything online and drop the package off.

I just did that. I have a FedEx account and get quite a discount. Enter online, print labels and schedule a pick up from my office. I just found out one good thing. It isn't any more expensive to ship 2 boxes than 1, it just goes by weight. You enter number of boxes and it prints two labels marked #1 of 2, and #2 of 2. One label for each box. Makes sense because there is one pickup and one delivery for the two boxes.

All you need to set up a fedex account is a credit card number. They bill your card a couple of weeks after you ship.

I'll have to get an account for the next comp, but it's not in the budget for this one, not after paying for the NCM order, the Spalt I bought, and the upcoming NZ hop group buy. On the plus side, making new hoppy beers!

I hope my new brews get some good feedback!
I tried signing up for a fedex account but it appears to be done right now i'll give it a few hours and take a crack tonight.

Been twittering. Jared just drove the Winnipeg entries down there. He's been getting sloshed at the Bushwakker today.
