Hamilton’s Best Craft Beer Festival Unveils Full Details on BBHC 2015
(HAMILTON, ON) Organizers of the Because Beer Craft Beer Festival are excited to announce details on Because Beer Homebrew Competition 2015, to be held June 27-28 in Hamilton, Ontario. This BJCP-sanctioned competition, held in conjunction with the Because Beer Craft Beer Festival, was a phenomenal success last year — drawing over 300 entries from across North America — and organizers are looking forward to another great year of homebrew at BBHC 2015. Mark your calendars!
Online registration for the Because Beer Homebrew Competition will open May 15, 2015 and will remain open until 5pm EST June 19, 2015. Beer entries for the Because Beer Homebrew Competition will be accepted via mail or in-person drop-off from June 8, 2015 to end of the business day June 19, 2015. An official call for judges will be announced later this month.
Judging for the Because Beer Homebrew Competition will take place June 27-28, 2015 at Mills Hardware (95 King St. E., Hamilton). Winners will be announced during the award ceremony taking place at the Because Beer Craft Beer Festival on July 10-11, 2015 at Pier 4 Park on Hamilton’s scenic waterfront.
Sponsorship for Because Beer Homebrew Competition 2015 includes Nickel Brook Brewing Co., Beer Grains Supply Co., BeerSmith, West Avenue Cider Co., Garden Brewers and Amsterdam Brewing Co.; Chris Haworth, owner of West Ave Cider Co., will be sponsoring a Cider category for the competition and acting as a guest judge for the competition as well, and Garden Brewers are sponsoring the Spice/Herb/Veg category and offering up a trio of great prizes. More sponsors and prizes will be announced in the coming weeks.
