I'd love to send a few to this and Montréal...but shipping costs are too much for what I get in return. unless someone is flying to Winny or Montreal and wants to mule lol

With the entry limits it becomes a more viable proposition though.

I really haven't got great feedback from the large away comps...doesn't really seem worth it imo (yet)...I could use the shipping money in my brewery to better my process.
I'll look into what it would cost. I only have a few brews that I would consider sending... Cream Stout, German Pils, and a Berliner...my big spruce Alt and Czech wouldn't be ready (I don't think/they are lagering now). My Big Spruce Red might be ready?

Send in the Big Spruce Red at least. I'm sending one in and have a little RIPA challenge going with some of the brewers on Twitter. This one is 2015 BJCP guidelines so there is a section for RIPA.

I think Unfiltered has a RIPA on the go at the moment. Would liven up the competition if they sent in also. It is one of the few (if not the only) pro am competitions.

any suggestions on where a bo-pils would be classed? 5D German Pils?
also where would a heavy hopped Berliner fit? 34B?

I think you need a judge to help you out.
All I know is this comp is using 2015 BJCP which you can find here:
http://bjcp.org/docs/2015_Guidelines_Beer.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
All you have to do to convert 2008 to 2015 is look at page 72. It's very simple. All the old beers are there just with new numbers and sometimes slightly different names, (eg. special bitter is now called best bitter), but there are some new exciting styles as well, like session IPA. That's my take on it.
Check the guidelines and see if your beer fits the description.
Winnipeg Brew Bombers is the club of a lot of the top BOTY people including Jared.

Great
What classes are you entering? I wonder if we'll be head to head. I think the RIPA is one.

I have a Czech lager. It got a silver at the weekend, but not entering it here because it is a year old now, and with the limited entries I have to pick my best ones.
I have never made a Berliner Weisse.
Good luck!

You too...not like u need luck lol
These are 2 of the 1st beers I've made since switching to ro water...so I'm hoping to have better feedback
Lager was tripple decoction mashed with a 120min boil...only thing I didn't do is focus on which yeast I used...I used s23...should have used a less fruity yeast. ..it's not really fruity but it's there

I think it's a perfect time of year to ship, not too hot and not too cold.

Thanks Derek! This year, I have designed and brewed medal winning beers in 25 different styles, more medal winning beers than that because some styles, I've done more than one beer in.
Here's my Mum helping me sort some of them out last month when she came. There's two new styles also (Big Spruce RIPA and Alt) that haven't been to competitions yet.
I have 25 different styles in cold storage in the basement at the moment.
