Appears to be open to the whole country. No entry fees, good prizes...

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I'll have to see how Friday's brew sessions turn out. Maybe even the Vanilla Porter, if I can figure out what category it best fits - Specialty Beer I guess.

Very interested. Just wondering if I'll have any beer left to enter when the summer is over.
Going to be hard to try saving anything, and I only have a festa kit brewing right now. I refuse
to enter something I didn't fully brew myself. I may have a APA and I may save a couple of bottles
of my Helles that I haven't touched yet.

I have a keg in my buddies fathers fridge ( I'm out of town on holidays ) that we got into last night.
My buddy has a fondness for Helles that exceeded his ability to drink last night, so that keg will shortly be
history.

I may get a chance to brew later in a few weeks time, but doubt it would be ready by September.

I think we're sending in a few things if all goes well. A black IPA, Spruce IPA and a lower alcohol but hoppy 'Breakfast' Pale Ale. I wish I had a few others left to send but it's been a busy summer!

I'm thinking of entering my Black IPA, but I don't know what category to put it under. I remember Garrison won an award last year with theirs under Imperial Stout, but it seems wrong somehow. Does anyone have any other ideas?

I just sent in two different APA's I had left over from the summer. I used Brewnosers as my club if you guys don't mind.

Now all that's left to do is to drink the APA I already have on tap so I can stick one of those yummy entries in there.
Time for me to get brewing.

We don't mind at all, we love it! Thanks!

Let's try and get a few Halifax beers together to send in, would be nice to get more feedback.

I'd like to, but I'm tied up most of the week with work and a birthday party to plan. Good luck though!

Well in that case, I'll enter Brewnosers in any competition I enter then as my home brew club.
MoB don't seem like they appreciate it when I enter and win as they hardly even mention
it or for that matter congratulate me, save a couple of like minded guys.

If you can put it together I'll participate. I'm only in town until Friday, though.

Sure, I will organize it.

ATTENTION BREWERS: If you would like to enter this as a group, please re-read the directions at http://goo.gl/2sqbK" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Download the entry form at http://goo.gl/n7e3u" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. You need two unlabeled bottles for each entry, with the form rubber-band wrapped around the bottle. No distinguishing features for the bottles (labels, caps, etc).
You need to deliver them to me before 9pm Sunday Aug 28. I will send them out Monday morning, and will take care of the packing and shipping materials. We will split the shipping costs. I'll send them first thing Monday morning so they will get there by Friday, and not spend any amount of time in a hot warehouse over Labour Day Weekend.

Questions? Post 'em here or email or txt or tweet or smoke signal me.

:mebeer: to send to Toronto!

Geez, I really know how to kill a thread!
KMcK dropped off a pair of bottles, and LD and I will send a few in each. There is room for a few more if people are interested. Please get them to me by Sunday night at 9. Email me for my coordinates.

I want to do this, but it's been too nutty of a week for me. Good luck to all of you though, and the next time there is a contest, I guarantee to be getting in on it. Props to Chris for organizing.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna send in my pale ale (*cough, cough*, TonyL's pale ale) and my 80/- but I'll just package & ship them from here.

Well, CABA have their AGM Nov. 19th, and usually they have an All About Ales comp to go along with it.
Be good to get a strong showing from the Brewnosers into that comp.
