I suspect we won't hear until tomorrow sometime, but I could be wrong. I believe the judging takes place tonight.

Re: Black Box Challenge
According to twitter they just started tasting the beers. Good luck everyone
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Me neither. I did a Northwest IPA but that's not what I called it.
I know of at least one Brewnoser who is in that list, but I'll let him post.

Re: Black Box Challenge
Congratulations to both Liverdance and Delta Force's Jayme and Gavin for their one-two finish today. Both presentations were absolutely amazing. And from what I tasted of the beers, folks will be plenty happy to drink them when they're brewed and released. Ruby also had a great showing (although I missed his presentation) and had a bit of a 2017 Oscars moment.
But the other three in the top six weren't Brewnosers. The Meteor That Killed the Dinosaurs was a Biere de Garde Steinbier (seriously) that placed 3rd. Kelly Costello has been brewing for 21 weeks and from what I heard had the best BJCP score in the competition with her Grand Mariner Belgian IPA. And the Fish Cop Pop was made by a couple of guys from Shelburne, one of whom had never brewed before and the other who had never done all-grain!
We all know that there's an element of luck to competitions, and sometimes to brewing as well. But this competition was a reminder that sometimes you really need to trust yourself and just go for it.
Props to everyone who came out today, especially the contestants. And big thanks to Boxing Rock for putting on a really awesome and unique competition again this year.
