Seattle Brewpubs?

Post by Hopaddict » Tue Jan 24, 2012 8:13 pm

Figured I'd try out this new forum!

Is anyone familiar with any brewpubs in Seattle? I'm heading down there for work in February, and I'm hoping to sample some of the local beers. After I go I will report back with my findings on the Seattle microbrew scene. Hopefully Canadian customs will also let me bring some samples home.

Here are the Washington/Seattle guide pages from the fall version of the Northwest Brew News. Let me know if can't read them OK.
I haven't made it down there just yet so I can't give my own opinion on them, but I hear some good things about #4 Boundary Bay.

A must see is the Pike Brewery in the Pike Market downtown.

Nice. Check out the Seattle beer map here.

Hopefully you can make it to the March Aleanders meeting (2nd Tuesday) with a couple samples. I'm going to LA the week before so we should have lots of new brews to try!

I was there last spring for a conference. I will try to get you the name of a place downtown that had over a 100 taps, it was well worth the visit. All west coast breweries (so not local per se, but it's still awesome). Pike was good, but more of a landmark then revolutionary brews. I went to some others too, but nothing is standing out. Then again... :drunk:

Hogie: I'm definitely planning to make it to the march Aleanders meeting with some samples assuming work doesn't get in the way!

Mgc: if you find the name of that pub let me know! 100 taps sounds like the kind of place I want to visit!
