Everwood Ave DIPA
Hey Guys,
Since Keith requested we build this database I thought I'd contribute. Some of you have tried this and I appreciate the complements. This is a DIPA based off of the Karbach Brewing (Houston, TX) Rodeo Clown DIPA. I tweaked the malt to reflect more of a Vicar's Cross malt profile, based the hop schedule on the Rodeo Clown (with some substitutions and additions). When I brewed this I accidentally forgot a lot of two-row in the bucket under my grain mill, so I ended up adding 4 lb of LME to get up to the OG, but in retrospect I'll keep the recipe that way as it helps with what could be a poor efficiency.
I really enjoy this one, hope you do too.

Re: Everwood Ave DIPA
Since I've been asked how I forgot that much grain....
I had to grind it into two buckets cause the grain bill was so big. It was late when I ground this recipe, I may have been drinking, and I forgot the second bucket (of just 2-row) under my mill. I brewed it the next day and after it was done I was almost 0.040 off of my target! Again, I finished this brew at 2am so I didn't really think too hard, I just went to the garage and grabbed the LME to bring up the OG. It wasn't till the next night during Store hours that I realized there was a half-full bucket of grain under the mill.
I need to work on focus.
