Re: Blueberry Beer
I have a wheat base fermenting right now, and have picked up 4 lbs of blueberries since they're on sale at walmart this week. I was told before that freezing and thawing would be good enough to rack on top of. I guess I will be putting them into a pot as stated above.
How long do I let them heat up for at 150?

What is c-20? Crystal 20l? And how many oz of saaz did you use?canuck wrote:I make a Blueberry Ale and keep it pretty simple.....97% 2 row, 2% c-20, and 1% carapils. I use Saaz hops at 60 minutes to about 14IBUs and no other additions.

Re: Blueberry Beer
How were they frozen? If it says individually quick frozen then they will be great, I just put mine in the secondary and racked right on top

Re: Blueberry Beer
You don't have IQF berries. You will need to heat them to kill any nasties that will affect your beer.CaptainTaco wrote:Thanks for the help?LeafMan66_67 wrote:Check out an earlier post in this same thread regarding using fresh berries.CaptainTaco wrote:Hmm it says they are ready to be frozen but need to be rinsed.
