I was looking for an Erdinger Clone and I found this one on HomeBrewTalk. I am just wondering if anybody would change anything.
6.0 lb German Wheat Malt
4.0 lb Belgian 2 row Pale Malt
0.5 oz Tettnang [4.5%] (90 min) 8.5 IBU
0.5 oz Hallertauer Mittelfrueh [4.0%] (45 min) 6.5 IBU
0.25 oz Pearle [8.0%] (12 min) 3.0 IBU
1 Pkg White Labs #WLP300 yeast
He said that this combination came out to exactly 18 IBU per Erdinger (BeerSmith).
Thanks
Curtis

Re: Erdinger Clone
I don't see anything wrong with that recipe, but you may want rice hulls. And you will have to order that yeast or switch to wyeast from NG. IIRC, that equivalent strain is in their stock.

Re: Erdinger Clone
I havent checked with NG yet about the yeast but I'll prob get the sub for it. What amount of rice hulls would be used?

Re: Erdinger Clone
That's a good question. I have not used rice hulls many times, but maybe 1lb for a 5 gal batch.
