Triple Threat Wheat V2.1 (Quit Your Daydreaming Melonhead)
One watermelon and 1/2 tsp smashed grains of paradise. May need augmenting with watermelon extract, we'll see after tasting.

I believe that they do actually. IIRC it's in little 4 oz no-name opaque/white plastic bottles.

Nice!
I do enjoy Picaroon's melon head. I wonder if they use extract or not.

Re: Triple Threat Wheat V2.1 (Quit Your Daydreaming Melonhea
We brewed a watermelon wheat last summer and doing it again today. We actually just tossed the water melon in at flame out (all mashed up through a juicer, still used the pulp). Ended up awesome - I thought the melon might drive off in fermentation but not at all and I wouldn't want more watermelon flavour. After several months (6-8) it did die down a bit. So I guess what I'm getting at is you'll probably have plenty of watermelon flavour with just the fruit but if you're hanging on to it for a while, the extract may help keep it in the beer.

I guess it depends on how good the watermelon you use is. This was average in flavour. I'll taste it first before I fuck with it.

I did a watermelon wheat last summer. I juiced a watermelon, drank the juice, and froze the pulp. I added about a litre of thawed pulp to the secondary and the flavour came through nicely. The hops didn't work out so well; they were too bitter for the fruity flavour. I'll have to look up my notes and see what I used last time and try something different this year.
I second Tim's idea for a summer fruit beer fest.

How did it turn out? Did it require any extract?

I think it's pretty good. Once I get a carbed up sample, I'll know better. May benefit from a bit of extract, but might be perfect.
