"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

That looks like a really tasty brew. I love the layers of hops you are using, malt balance looks tasty too.

Graham, I'm not suprised you like the look of this one, I started out with the comfortably numb recipe and ended up with this. I'll probably dry hop it too but I'll wait to taste it before making that call.

I was going to say I noticed a theme. Makes sense. Comfortably numb is still one of my favorite all time IPA's. This just looks much more quaffable. Keep me posted how it turns out.

It doesn't exist but if it did it would sound like this....

Trying my first glass while watching the Sens/Pens game. This one turned out just the way I wanted, very hoppy but light to drink while still tasting some malt backbone.I didn't end up dry hopping it as it has a great aroma without. :mmm:

I might have to give this one a whirl. Might take a couple months to get some open space in my brew schedule, but it looks like everything I want in a hoppy pale.
