I enjoyed this one as well. Clean, with a little sweetness that I always get with a Kolsch. Thanks for sharing.

I found something was missing. And then I remembered that I forgot the dry hop.

The malt profile was good, but I got quite a bit of banana off of mine.

Interesting. I detected a small amount. The first time I made this, it smelled like a bag of marshmallow bananas. The kolsch yeasts throw a lot of banana, but I've certainly got fermentation problems I'm trying to resolve.

Dry hopping it would probably have been inappropriate to style anyway. I thought it had plenty of hop character already, kind of a pungent. I didn't notice any banana in mine. I liked the malt
profile too, graham cracker like.

I don'rt have a comparison as I have not had Kolsh before. From what I have read this is to style. It is not going to be an "in your face" style.

Nice beer.

I get a hint of banana but nothing egregious. Overall a nice easy to drink beer. Cheers!

It was a grolsch bottle marked with a 9 lol
It was a lighter beer. Maybe just the pic that's dark

Great Kolsch, getting a nice subtle sweetness from the malts along with a hint of fruity esters from the yeast. :cheers3:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
