Re: December 1st 2017 - IPA
Great old school American IPA. Love the classic west coast hops. Cleanly brewed. Some alcohol presence in the flavour to let you know it's an IPA. Some haze, likely hop haze based on your hop bill. Good job.

Re: December 1st 2017 - IPA
Very nice. Classic. Aroma is good. And the bitterness is spot on for IPA, just at that point before it moves over into harshness. Great start to the month.

Re: December 1st 2017 - IPA
Drinking it cold from the fridge. Poured well, got a nice darkish amber colour, somewhere around 20 SRM. Persistent white head with small bubbles. I get lots of fruit and caramel/cotton candy in the aroma almost like strawberry pie. Bitterness is medium for the style, lots of caramel sweet malt character, with fruity hops. Perfect amount of carbonation. If I were to make it I would use less crystal malts and lower the bitterness a bit (not much) but wouldn't change anything else. Thanks!

Re: December 1st 2017 - IPA
Really tasty beer. Bitterness was in balance, still had plenty of malt character to back it up. Hops were great. Lots of citrus and fruit and little bit of a light floral quality that gave it some depth. Cheers

Re: December 1st 2017 - IPA
I do prefer a little more crystal and flavorful malts in my IPA's. Mark and Lisa had one on tap at the exchange that was nice. I find it helps to carry the Malt aroma through the hops.
It's definitely more bitter than I prefer but like was mentioned above it's a pretty classic IPA in that sense. I can see why people go light on the crystal malts because with this beer I could have went for another but the complexity between the crystal malts and bitterness made me feel like one was enough.
Good job. I didn't detect any off flavors.
Thanks!

December 1st 2017 - IPA
Great beer, seemed spot on for an IPA, a bit more bitter than juicy to my taste, very enjoyable, and it had an awesome bright orange to amber colour. Thanks!

Great job. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Nice white foamy head on the pour. Great rusty orange color. Nice citrusy hoppy aroma.
Bitterness complements the malts perfectly.
Thanks!

Re: December 1st 2017 - IPA
I split this up with Margaret and Mabel. The 2 non-IPA loving ladys loved it. Citrus and pine struck a note with them. I felt it was too bitter (for me) but the dry hops were wonderful.
Thanks.

Only got to pop this beer today, but I love it! My wife was not looking forward to an IPA but she also really enjoyed it. Bonus points for the perfect amount of carbonation and the clarity

Re: December 1st 2017 - IPA
Thanks for all the comments. I was pretty happy with how the beer turned out. I was trying to get a little more juicy hop flavor, I think I'll have to keep experimenting with my whirlpool additions.

I thought this was a well made beer. There was definitely more caramel in it than I would usually prefer, but I liked the high bitterness.
