Oh snap, guess I jumped the gun. This sure was a tasty one - nice and dark, good sweetness to it, haven't checked the ABV but it has a bit of a warmness to it. I really like what you did with the coffee, it shines through very nicely and compliments the beer well.

Thanks for sharing!

I skipped ahead too, inspired by Matt's devil-may-care attitude. Rules are made to be broken!

I"m not usually a big fan of an overt coffee taste in stout -- especially if it has an astringent aftertaste (which this one did not) -- but I was intrigued by the name and in the mood to try it (plus I had chilled it earlier this morning before I went to the beach).

This was great... deep, rich flavour with a nice, smooth finish. The espresso really came through and worked nicely. Thanks for the great beer.Image

This was a nicely done beer. Well balanced between the different adjuncts added. The coffee was up front and center but not so much that it was a one note affair. Hint of sweetness was a nice touch and rounded out the more bitter and roasty flavours. The cinnamon I think was really well done, adding just a little complexity to everything. Glad you got into brewing and even gladder to get to drink one of them
On tap: Hopped Mead, ESB, Schwazbier
Coming up: Altbier
Fermenting: Maibock
Planned: NEIPA, NZ Pils, Oyster Stout

I could have done with a bit more carb in mine. Otherwise I thought the balance was excellent, especially the amount of lactose, which I think was perfect. Thanks for the share.

Sorry about the carbonation. Not sure why yours didn't get what it needed.

Happy to hear you otherwise enjoyed it.

Cheers!

HUGE compliment from a BCJP judge... TRULY appreciated, esp. since I'm still new at this (just began brewing in April).

Cheers!
