This beer is well balanced, quenchable and would be perfect for a session of drinking. Keep 'em coming. Cheers!

Malty, nutty, caramel, touch of roast. Really nice beer. Getting a touch of diacetyl out of it but not a detraction. I'd drink this by the case
On tap: Hopped Mead, ESB, Schwazbier
Coming up: Altbier
Fermenting: Maibock
Planned: NEIPA, NZ Pils, Oyster Stout

Well done Paul. Enjoyed this a little later this evening than expected. Getting all the great characteristics, great colour, great carb.

Another great beer. I also suspected some diacetyl and agree it wasn't a distraction. It had a "toast" thing to it I've tasted before, which I really love, but the grain bill didn't really tell me what it's coming from.

Sorry about the Diacetyl, this could be due to the pressure fermentation and it being quite young. I did do a diacetyl rest but I may not be doing it correctly under pressure. I'm glad it isn't hurting the beer too much. Thanks for the feedback!

Decent little special bitter. Diacetyl is low, which is within style guidelines. Earthy hops, caramel, touch of nuttiness.

I meant to respond last night, when I probably would have had more to say about it. I do remember enjoying it though.

The roastiness balances the dark fruity sweetness quite nicely. The slight bit of diacetyl isn’t anything I’d worry about. An easy drinker for a Monday evening.

Really enjoying this. I enjoy british bitters, Granite peculiar was my craft gateway beer. Great medley of yeast esters with the malts. Going down way too fast
Thanks Paul!
Thanks Paul!

I wasn't going to have another beer, but I needed something to quench my thirst as I continue to pack stuff in advance of our quick Christmas trip to Miramichi and to see the in-laws.
I have gotten out of touch with this style, but your beer reminds me how fond I am of it... particularly when I need to balance out the hop bombs and higher ABVs.
I'm not getting any diacetyl at all, even while looking for it - though perhaps that's cause I am a little later to the party (Would an extra couple of weeks in the bottle do that?) Or it might be that I have a less refined palette than other, more experienced folks. In any case, I can assure you it's no Picaroons... clean and easy-drinking, and exactly what I would look for in the style.
