Amarillo APA

I recently scored a bunch of Amarillo hops (which I'll say that they are my absolute favourite hops) and I am looking to brew an APA with them. So far this is what I've come up with.
10 lbs 2 row.
10 oz Carapils
10 oz C-40
.5 oz Amarillo 60 mins
1 oz Amarillo 30 mins
1 oz Amarillo flameout
1056 yeast
Any thoughts or suggestions on some tweaks?

If you really like them, use something else for bittering, and save them for the end. What's the ibus? Looks a bit light from here.

Amarillo is one of my favs too.
I would take robs advice and try and dump as many in the late additions, and you will get that uber flavour you are hoping for.
Use something else for bittering. Maybe magnum, or cascade.

Thanks gents. Perhaps I'll go with Columbus for bittering instead. IBUs are 66 with one ounce of Columbus as the FWH. I think I'll dry hop with some Amarillo as well.

What's your estimated OG for the recipe? If you're shooting for an APA, you might want to cut down the Columbus just a bit so that the bitterness doesn't overtake the sweet, sweet, Amarillo flavour.

It's been a while since I did 5 gallon math, but 66ibus seems a high calculation for one ounce of columbus and the 30 minute amarillo. But maybe I'm wrong...

Wouldn't be far off. By my math, 1oz of 16% AA Columbus at 60 minutes with a 1.050 wort would yield 45 to 50 IBU.

I also plan on adding an oz of amarillo at flameout as well.
