Ten Penny part 2

Post by spuds » Wed Dec 19, 2012 11:13 am

Decided to try this one again as I had the ingredients. Part one was ok but it had no late hops and only 100g smoked malt upped it to 400g. See how this one goes.

Ten Penny 2

Colour (SRM): 11.1
Bitterness (IBU): 32.7
86.52% American 2-Row
5.19% Crystal 60
0.87% Crystal 120
0.49% Roasted Barley
6.94% Rauchmalt
0.9 g/l Northern Brewer (10.5% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil) 27.6 ibu
0.4 g/l Northern Brewer (10.5% Alpha) @ 15 Minutes (Boil) 5.14 ibu
Single step Infusion at 66°C for 60 Minutes. Boil for 60 Minutes
Fermented at 20°c with London Ale 111
Drinking: Red Hook clone
Waiting on: Fruit beer

Do you mean the Oland's version of Ten Penny?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

No I have no idea how that one goes but do remember liking it maybe 25 years ago haha. Typed this one in to google and came up with a clone of a ten penny from conn. (I think) North eastern US anyway
Drinking: Red Hook clone
Waiting on: Fruit beer
