Not my recipe but I have renamed it. I haven't had a "hoppier" brew in a while and was wondering what you guys think. ibu's may not be high but I think the hops will come through?
Bat Head Soup

Original Gravity (OG): 1.057
Colour (SRM): 11.2
Bitterness (IBU): 35.2

41.28% Maris Otter Malt 2.5 kg
41.28% American 2-Row 2.5 kg
8.83% Munich I 500g
4.41% Caramunich III 260g
4.19% Crystal 60 250g

1.1 g/l Simcoe (12.2% Alpha) @ 90 Minutes (First Wort) 25g
0.9 g/l Simcoe (12.2% Alpha) @ 10 Minutes (Boil) 20g
0.9 g/l Cascade (7.8% Alpha) @ 10 Minutes (Boil) 20g
0.9 g/l Simcoe (12.2% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Boil)20g
0.9 g/l Cascade (7.8% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Boil) 20g
0.9 g/l Simcoe (12.2% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Dry Hop) 20g

So what are you trying to accomplish for a beer here? Where/why did you pick this recipe?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

And if you want "hoppy" as in hop flavour you might want some 30-20 min additions.

Don't have a where or why. I'm just experimenting as I have always done. I have never tried simcoe and I thought this would be a nice brew to try it in. I am not a "hop head" by any means but I am slowly going to the dark side. Just observations on the recipe is what I am looking for.

Yeah im gonna say pop in a bit (25g ish?) at 30 minutes and brew away, should make a nice hoppy reddish ale

No immaculate conceptions here X haha surprised I can spell that after last night. Anyway CA maybe I will add, I am assuming you mean simcoe, (25g-30g). At 30min for more flavour. I was thinking that as my first addition is fw, I would get flavour from there. But maybe I will reconsider.
