Planning to brew this up this weekend, my first black IPA and I am also planning to try "hop bursting" for the first time. The name is based on the 10 oz of centennial and citra hops that go into it. Any input would be appreciated, especially if I should add some roasted barley or not.

Recipe:
12 lbs 2 row malt
1 lb Crystal 40L
0.5 lb Aromatic
8 oz Midnight Wheat
4 oz Chocolate Malt

2 oz Centennial at 15min
2 oz Citra at 15min
2 oz Centennial at flameout
2 oz Citra at flameout
1 oz Centennial dryhop last 7 days of primary
1 oz Citra dryhop last 7 days of primary

Yeast - California Ale Yeast (WLP 001)

Cheers,
Jon

-edit- added yeast, and added aromatic malt

Yeah, that recipe was one of my inspirations. Might add some aromatic, and the midnight wheat replaces the carafa III. Just wondering about the Special B or perhaps roasted barley.

This looks great! I was thinking of doing a black IPA for my next one. Might mimic this and see how it turns out!
