That ones def gonna be biscuity for sure with brown, biscuit, and pale chocolate . I used 5.6% brown malt in my last IIPA and it came through nice, then 14% brown and 7% amber in a porter and I find it slightly too dry. If you dropped in some kilned amber then I would drop down the brown for sure. Should be a good one.

Agreed on the Brown malt, personally I'd dial it back a bit if it were me, especially with the biscuit in there. I'm sure it'll make a tasty beer but I used 1.5 lbs in my last porter and I'd use 3/4 to 1 lb if I were making it again. YMMV.

Hops yeah, I think I'm getting 1/2 lb of Glacier. Other than that, it's wide open.

I should have mentioned too, the Biscuit is the Kiln Amber from FB, my mistake in the original post. And the base malt can be optic, halcyon, golden promise....
Edits done.

Was that a 5 or 10 gallon batch?

Just weighed out the grains now. Went with the Optic for 2 row base, and I found a bag of Dingemans Biscuit malt.

Ugh, not sure about this one. Just had the hydro sample, very low on the IBU, guessing under 20. The late IBU calculations just don't work out AFAIAC. On top of the low cohu levels. Time will tell, maybe a little carbonation will help....

Well kegged it up yesterday to clear the way for a smoked porter. Got a much better feel for the beer. Hopefully the carb really brings it to life.

This beer is definitely on my permanent rotation now for events. The BMC crowd loves it.

Brewing this again, except I'm using Canadian 2-row and some vienna for depth. Probably switch to magnum for bittering and ekg for everything else. High gravity brewing as well for 15 gallons.
