I brewed this beer, I'm really happy with the flavor, however there seems to be little head retention. Any suggestions?

As you prefer more bitter beers, brew this brown, I'm sure you will be in love! :cheers2:

Thanks Mark for that. I'll check it out.

Yes I was thinking carapils as well. I'd probably say in around 8oz?

I use 2.4 oz/gallon in my Hawaiian IPA (12 oz in 5 gallons). Has some foamy goodness for sure!

It's already all malt, and adding carapils will add sweetness to it as well. You could always add some flaked oats, wheat or barley for added protein without sweetness. If it was me though, I'd just leave it. I find some of my beers head retention don't have as much head when they're young.

FWIW my brown didn't have much head at all. I worried about it a little and considered altering the recipe but then I realized I'd rather keep a recipe I know makes tasty beer than worry about messing it up trying to make good-looking beer (that one also didn't clear very well so it was a bit of an ugly duckling all around ;) )

Clarity isn't bad. But there isn't much sweetness from the malts. Just very balanced with a mild roast finish.
