Going to make a mead at some point. Where can I get large volumes of decent honey? Anyone have a contact? Or should I go to the market ?

Had the first mead that I really enjoyed last night (it wasn't too young like every other one I have tried) and it inspired me

Crossman and Whidden (somewhere in the Valley ?New Minas) sell their honey in bulk. It's a little cheaper than the grocery store, and good quality.

FWIW, most meads I've made really didn't taste great until they had several years of age on them.

Indeed! Yeah the one I had the other night was bottled in 2003 I think. Delish

Thanks for the tip, I'll check em out if I'm down that way!
