Lager and hops

Sooo....

Getting ready to make my first lager, but I have question about hops. I'm aiming for a Pilsen style lager, so the obvious hops to use would be Saaz, but are there other hops varieties that would also work? I would like something with a nice floral character and moderate bitterness.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks

I love Galaxy, and I think NASH made a lager with Galaxy. I think that wouldn't do well in a competition for style reasons, but would be delicious.

I'd say, though I'm no hops expert, that noble hops would fit well with lagers

Like you say, saaz is the usual choice for the style, but most of the noble hops have that floral earthiness. Hallertau, Spalt or Tettnanger. Northern Brewer would be interesting. It's more on the piney side, but still not too powerful.

Just kicked a keg of a very nice lager we made with Hallertau and Tettnanger.

Big fan of tettnanger, although more german than czech. Styrian goldings could be interesting as well, has a nice spiciness.
