24" False Bottom
So I've got my new mash tun, am going to soon start building it out. Been contemplating ideas on how to make this really work and use it to it's potential. Would be nice to do a step mash on this setup. Any suggestions on what I could use for a 24" false bottom?
Been looking at the below and thought of using large SS Washer's and 3-4" Bolts\Nuts to raise it and evenly support the massive grain build. But not sure if it will be strong enough.

Perforated stainless steel. Velocity Machining in Burnside can water jet cut it for you.

Agree with Nick. I think that pizza screen would fold immediately.

In addition to that, I think those holes would let a lot of material through.

I threw this together. Just need to cut the pipe in a few spots to help with drainage the solder it in a few spots but still have it so I can tear is down and clean it fully.

Dimple or deform the joints enough to hold but be dis-assembleable.

My buddy cut the pipe last night. Came out pretty good from the pic.

Yea pretty much the plan. Will take a bit of time to remove. But I think this will work great for what I need. Still want a false bottom so I can easily do some step mashes.

Slits will be face down in the mashtun.
Currently giving these a parts a soak in hot pbw. And yes I used lead free solder and flux.

Recirc/ sparge arm on top. Copper manifold installed. I'm extremely excited to brew using this.
