Mill Cabinet/Homebrew Storage Project

For quite a while, I've had lots of little homebrew related equipment hanging out in buckets between uses, and keeping it altogether was a pain for me. When I was able to brew in the kitchen, before I was banished to the garage I stored them in a kitchen cabinet. Simple enough, but my garage is low on cabinets, and less so dedicated homebrew gear cabinets. I had to make a solution to keep most of the stuff all in one place. After a sketch and trip to Home Depot I was ready to tackle it.

The 4ft countertop hangs off the side so that a bar stool can sit underneath the overhang and be able to work at comfortably.

I was able to integrate the mill into the countertop and have a dedicated cabinet to keep the dust down.

The countertop gives me way more space to work on, and I can control the mill speed with a dimmer switch off the side of the cabinet that powers the drill.

When brewday is all done, I can pack it up and roll it away for the next day.
Cheers!

Didnt think you would be able to vary the drill speed that way. Any chance of damaging the drill? Setup looks very nice.

Thanks! The dimmer does a good job of varying the speed of the drill in place of the trigger being pegged. I oversized the drill a touch so it didn't have to work as hard to run the mill, I'll have to see how it goes!

Looks great! Should do the trick. Depending on your drill the dimmer may shorten it's life. But you can get replacements fairly inexpensive.
