Tap Handles and Keezer

Getting around to showing off my keezer build from this past winter.
Started with a Kenmore 12512 from Sears. https://www.kenmore.com/products/kenmor ... ezer-white
Fits 8 pepsi kegs comfortably.
I went with 6 taps, room for 2 extra kegs to carb and keep cool or a carboy to cold crash.
2 way distributor for Cider/Soda, and a 6 way for beer.
Added a last minute impulse nitro tap.

Most of the hardware came from Everwood Ave.
Stout spout and drip tray came from OBK.

A woodworking friend provided tools and brains for the bulk of the work.
Inner collar is 2x8" cedar, outer facade is 1x8" cherry.
Base is 2x6" Cherry with castors on the bottom to keep things easy to move.

Magnets weren't enough to keep the drip tray from sliding down, so I ran a hasty bead of silicone along the bottom rear edge.

Same woodworking friend and hobby machinist buddy gifted the handsome tap handles.
Pays to have talented friends.

It's been chugging along fine so far.
I had to fill in a crack in the seal from the wood moving, but overall I'm pretty happy with the build.

Thanks for taking a look!

Dylan

Nice work. It appears that your feezer was deep enough for the kegs before adding the wood collar? If so, I was wondering if it is possible to put the taps through the side of the feezer insted? I have no idea where the coolant is in these things so I don't know if that is ok to do but I have access to a couple of older freezers

I personally wouldn't risk it, my cooling lines run around the walls pretty close to the top.
You should be able to see where yours run by either running the freezer for a few minutes and checking the inside for frost, or by doing the vodka/corn starch trick on the outside.
