Mypin Controllers

Post by Taigh-Leanna » Sun Sep 10, 2017 12:02 pm

Just finished building my control panel. I've noticed, though, that all 3 of my controllers seem to settle out 1 to 2 degrees higher than the set point. Any thoughts as to why this would be the case? It's not a huge deal, I can compensate by setting 1 degree lower to what I want. It just seems odd.

Thanks.

Have you ran an auto tune on the PID? I use a Sestos PID and after tuning, it is usually dead on the set point. Make sure to run the auto tune with as close to your actual brewing parameters as possible.

Yeah I ran the autotune on 2 of the 3 controllers so far. Maybe I'll run them again, this time closer to my set point. I think I turned autotune on 5 or 7 degrees below set point.
