Was gifted a 58L keg from my gf's brother in law. After scrubbing it clean I am thinking about what I want to make it into. A 30L batch keggle or a fermenter? I already have a 16gal kettle that I Brew on.

I'd also say fermenter. Pots and kettles are easy to get. If it's clean and I'm good shape go with a fermenter

Fermenter. Keggles made sense when large pots weren't widely available at a good price. Now they are, so they don't make much sense any more.
Making that a fermenter also doesn't require any permanent modification: you just need to pull the spear. That means you can make it a keg or sell it as a keg later if you want.

you'll want to consider if you can get control of temp with the keg as a fermentor. that's what held me back.
you sure as he'll don't want to be lowering that into a chest freezer full.
