Inline dry hop filter.

Post by jacinthebox » Sat Sep 15, 2018 12:31 pm

I needed a way to help filter out some dry hops on the way to the keg...after cold crashing.

I had a stainless racking cane and a keg dry hopper. Drilled a hole in the top...added a clamp above and below the keg hopper top to keep it in place.

Hoping it works.

used it last night. 1 carboy with 4oz of dry hops/crashed for 24 hours...1 carboy with 4oz of dry hop not crashed.

worked really well on both. The crashed carboy was obviously less prone to hop carryover, but still caught enough to make it worth using.

The non crashed carboy caught tons of hops ...success

Are you using widemouth carboys, Justin?

No just regular carboys ...the filter end goes in the keg. Just attaches to an auto siphon
