Re: Kegerator W/ 3.2 Danby
We were successful on 2 of 3 attempts. The one that became a paper weight was the one that I did by myself
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Just bent my freezer section down and I think it still works. It's running and it's cold, pretty happy with it actually.

Were u able to fit 2 ball locks in?
My buddy wants to put a mini fridge under his bar. He only has 19.5" width.
Just wondering if he bought a danby 3.2 if he can get one or two kegs in

The Danby 4.4 will fit two Pepsi Cans, but you'll have to shave the shelf brackets down on both sides. It's only plastic and the cooling coils are in the back. The stuff on the door can stay. It's a tight fit.
Why brew beer I can buy?

I've seen it done, somewhere on the webernet but I am not sure on the overall success - just the fact that somebody did it...if I recall through many foggy pints - there were issues or strong critiques at least on the path.

Hey guys,
I'm just getting into the kegging business myself. I just bought a 4.5CF bar fridge, but I'm a bit nervous about bending down the freezer plate. does anyone have any suggestions or perhaps special tricks, I'd hate to ruin a new fridge.
thanks

What's the make and model? Should be able to find someone who has converted it online if it is a 4.5.

Re: Kegerator W/ 3.2 Danby
I located the below, may be a different model, or possibly a different sku due to canada\us?
Appears you need to be careful cutting and bending down the freezer tray.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that link Keith! It was definitely a help! Here are a few pics of the finished product. Just need to throw a few batches on next week to fill those kegs.

Hey all,
I'm quite new to homebrewing and this forum, but just wanted to chime in that I got a 3.6 cft Danby freezer off Kijiji and converted it to a beer fridge with the STC-1000. Knowing very little about home wiring, it was a couple hours of YouTube videos and splicing wires but she's going now! It'll fit 1 keg no problem now, I'm hoping it'll fit 2 corny kegs if I add a 8" extension onto it.

If it's the same as my 3.6 cft Danby freezer, then you should be able to squeeze in THREE ball locks. Have a look: http://www.brewnosers.org/forums/viewto ... =41&t=5367" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
