my home made mash paddle

Finally tackled something I have been wanting to do for some time now, a home made mash paddle (made from a 4' x 3/4" piece of white oak). Not the best wood working by a long shot and it still needs to have more sanding done to the cut outs to clean them up a little better (need to get to the hardware store for some supplies!) but it turned out not too shabby. Looks alright from a distance anyway!

Not too shabby at all. Looks great from here (Wolfville)

. I'd love to have a beautiful mash paddle like that.

This quote is too funny. After the Broncos got hammered in the Superbowl a few weeks ago, the coach said the next day that the season was 'not too shabby'. He was immediately shredded into teeny little pieces, and then those teeny little pieces were subsequently roasted into oblivion by Broncos fans, lol.

This thread is pretty funny.

hahaha too funny! I'm not a football fan so I had no idea! I've been using that expression since I was a boy. One of my uncles old favorites! That and "fill yer boots" which I am also guilty of saying!
Mark - I took the kids camping near Wolfville last summer! I think the campground was South Mountain Park? You near there?
Thanks for all the positive comments folks!

Yes, about half an hour away. Great place to camp if you have kids. We stayed there once and now you reminded me, might do it again this summer.
