Have any of you here tried the Biermuncher bottle filler? It's basically a poor mans bottle filler and I'm not really into spending the cash on a beer gun and it looks like it could work.

I used one for quite some time. Just picked up a beer gun with a gift card i received at christmas. Its hard to keep oxidation down with a model like that but thats my only complaint. It worked quite well for me.

Thanks for the reply.. if I was planning to keep the bottles for say 6-8 weeks do you think I could get away with that? I'm not looking to age anything I just would like the option to some from the keg without the added expense of a beer gun.

I would think a shot of co2 in the bottle before the fill should help with the oxidation for that long storage.

I've used one but found that the carbonation dropped a bit in the bottle. May have been my imagination.

I'm going to bottle a few with one and open at different intervals to see how they hold up.

I won a few awards bottling this way so it definitely can be done. However after 6 or 8 weeks i noticed the same beer would score lower and many judges would comment on oxidation, this wasn't an issue until later on in the life of the beer and to be honest i never really could tell. Its worth it for sure if you are just planning on consuming the beer OR competing with it in the near future.
