Easy Stir Plate

I got this idea when browsing for computer parts one day. It is literally the easiest project I recall completing.

I used this fan from Amazon and a small electrical box I had laying around. I drilled 5 holes in the box and attached the fan and magnets and voila! Still have to clean up the glue, but it works like a charm with a built in potentiometer.

Where did you get the potentiometer? My stir plate uses a muffin fan and could really use something to dampen it better than the dimmer plug I use.

It's all part of the fan I ordered. You unscrew the cages and it all comes apart. I simply drilled a hole in the electrical box to fit the wire through and gorilla glued the knob assembly to the box
