Introducing Boris...

I took it upon myself to build an eBIAB kettle that can be stored on top of my fridge. I also find myself wanting 5 gallons of most beers I make. I bought a sweet 12 gallon kettle on eBay from an overstock company for 60 bucks. It has a steamer rack so I installed the element under the plate. I'm going to do recirculation while manually heating the mash for step mashes too. Image

The hot pod from brew hardware is a nice little piece of equipment. I only wish I'd ordered before the Loonie hit the skids

Looks slick....probably less$$ and lower profile than the electro brewery style box especially including labor??

The first electric kettle I built used the Electric brewery DIY setup. Still use it on a mash tun 5 years or so later, but yeah... huge profile. The hotpod is tiny and super easy to install. I'm going to try it out next week sometime. HAving a hard time keeping th spigot from leaking with a flat gasket.
