2013 Hop Harvest

Post by GillettBreweryCnslt » Thu Nov 14, 2013 11:21 am

Hey Everyone,

Just a heads up that the 2013 harvest is starting to trickle in. I received a small amount of both Cascade and Centennial yesterday and have put them up on the website. There will be more coming in and I will be restocking my shelves over the next couple of months.

Aside from the hops I already carry is there anything you want me to add? I'm thinking Horizon and Sorachi, but I'm open to all suggestions.

Thanks!

I think if you can get some 1lb bags of Amarillo, there woud be a line up outside your place, people camping out. I can't find any :(

I know it's very difficult for distributers to get them.

In a few weeks I, and everyone else, will have lots of Amarillo. The 2013 harvest has not yet been pelletized for that hop and the 2012 harvest was sold out months ago, hence the lack of that hop.

Be careful counting those chickens before they hatch...

Do you know the timeframe for the contract hops for 2014?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Not yet, but I did email Alli yesterday about it. We need to have an offline chat about that, just to sort things out a bit and talk about 2015.

Dry hopping with the new Cascade tonight, still can't believe it's at 9% this year.
