Monster Mills are coming!

Post by GillettBreweryCnslt » Thu Aug 28, 2014 4:23 pm

Hey Everyone,

Are you looking for a more professional and higher quality grain mill? Well look no further! When I open up the new location for my store I'll also be introducing Monster Mills. I'll still be carrying the less expensive mills but I know some of you are looking for a mill that takes it to the next level. I will be placing the order in the next couple of weeks but if you want to guarantee a mill please let me know. This is not a group buy but a pre-order and I'll post pricing when I know it. If you want to look at the mills and accessories available please visit the website here:

Thank you

Sweet! I'm definitely interested in one of these mofos

I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies

What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

Dave, if you're interested, I had approached one of our machinists at work about getting into this product. He has his own shop on the side, is a great guy and machinist, and has built larger horizontal groove mills. Might be an opportunity there.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

What is the timeline for these being available? I'm guessing this would make you the only Canadian seller of Monster? Would it be for a similar price as their website?

I'm just about to order a MM3-2.0 but would order it from you if the timeline was short enough (within a month).

I LOVE my CGM-3D! It is 10 years or more old and hasn't had any problems.

Within a month I'll have them. Pricing will be competitive with the US website after you take into account exchange, duties and shipping, and it should still be a bit less to order from me then to order online from them. Plus I'll have them in store so you can check them out in person. While there are a few LHBS on the west coast that carry them I'll be the only store with an online presence in Canada. We're discussing me being a champion for the brand currently so stay tuned.

Yeah, I'll give todd a shout, see if he's still interested, and then you two can talk, see if it works out $$$wise. I'm out of province for a bit, but I'll see if I can get his number

Nice. I might be in the market for a new mill soon. My Barley Crusher may have pissed me off for the last time. :x

Has Monster started producing the slotted mills yet? If so I might be in for one as I'd like something more easily adjustable.

Here's a video showing off the mills.

I'm putting in the order end of the week so if you want something in particular, now's the time to request. I'll post prices as soon as I get the initial quote (hopefully today or tomorrow).

I'm somewhat interested, but also have been kind of holding off until they release the slotted mill. I'd like to hear what X's guy might be able to offer...

The slotted mills are still a ways away, I was talking to Fred today and they are having issues with the prototypes, nothing that can't be overcome but it's pushed back the release date and he doesn't know when that will be.

So for the first order I'll be bringing in the MM2 mills (2-roller, 1.5" diameter). The list price will be $185 for the mill.

I'll also be listing the other mills for sale and I'll bring them in on demand as it's only a couple of days to get them here. If you do want a different style please let me know asap and I can get it added to this order.

Thanks

Dave
