Re: Next meeting
I didn't receive the one about the pub tour. Kyle's posting arrived quite garbled. I don't know what caused it, but it was odd.derek wrote:Except it did - I read that and was quite up for it, but then Kyle said he was hosting...chalmers wrote:This is why we need another/several admins for the listserv. Strange, I still haven't received it, and I have checked my Gmail spam folder.derek wrote:Except it did - I read that and was quite up for it, but then Kyle said he was hosting...chalmers wrote:This is why we need another/several admins for the listserv. Re: Next meeting
Thanks to all who did come. Our selection wasn't quite as impressive as Chris' Chicago haul but we had a good time. At least one long time forum member came to a meeting for the first time, so I encourage the rest of you who haven't yet to come out into the real world and meet us (unless, of course, you're a bot).

Last Meeting
There were more beers not showing in Kyle's photo. These ones in particular caught my attention (and praise).

Re: Next meeting
Me too, after too long of a hiatus. I think I can host if a more central location is not available.

Re: Next meeting
I think I volunteered last time. No problem here, and I do have some treats to share.
Note also I'd like to review a group Cantillon order. I posted in the Group Buys section in the members only part of the forum.
I'll have a list that night, and maybe someone (Bobby.... Chris ????) can be there to tell everyone what each of the beers is and what we really really want.

Re: Next meeting
As a reminder, tomorrow is the second Tuesday of the month, so time once again for another BN meeting. Brewnoser has graciously offered up his place, 2325 Clifton St. Normal starting time is 7:30 for 8pm start.
As usual, beers from away, or other oddities are welcome, as well as homebrews. Small snacks (cheese, chocolates, etc) are also encouraged. If you don't have any beer to share, please do bring some snacks.
And if you are a new subscriber, please don't be shy: come out and have a great time with beer crafters and drinkers! We won't bite, I promise!
Cheers,
Chalmers

Re: Next meeting
Sadly, tomorrow isn't good for me, but I am heading out of province this weekend and hope to grab something for next month.

Also thought I'd make it out but had a band practice scheduled on short notice. Bummer, I was interested in some feedback on a Red Ale I made. Guess I'll be aging the Supplication a little longer

Re: Next meeting
2nd Tuesday is coming up quickly. I unfortunately have to work, but I thought I'd give this a bump for discussion.

Re: Next meeting
This thread should also be a sticky I think. Change the title to Monthly Meeting.

Re: Next meeting
I was actually just thinking about locking this and starting a new one each month and making it a sticky. That way it wont be a massive topic that you have to dig through if you want to find something. What's your thoughts?

Re: Next meeting
Very good idea, you can put the month and day in the title.

Done.
Monthly meetings will be discussed in their own topic which will be stickied each month.
