of course it would, it means more beer for uschalmers wrote:Would a bunch of 500mLs do?

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: December 11 Monthly Meeting
Thanks for hosting, Tim.
We had a decent turnout, 10 guys. We had a great selection of homebrews, including Earl's first homebrew is 30 years! And rickc brought a great selection of his beers, including a very tasty coffee (chocolate) stout.
We finished off a good amount of Tim's no-knead flatbread, and Becky's yummy cookies.
And I even made it to the airport this morning. Speaking of which... boarding now!

Good stuff. Unfortunately, with my new schedule, I'll be out of town for most meetings.....

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Yup, good turnout, thanks for coming everybody. I like the idea of mandatory cookies at all meetings.. but I had 4 (maybe 5) of them...
Some great homebrews, lots of great 'tasting' comments as well.

Re: December 11 Monthly Meeting
I personally would like to start seeing BJCP sheets at the meetings. For guys wanting their beers reviewed we could pass around a sheet and everyone could add their notes to it. Often I find when your beer gets reviewed its hard to remember the little details what peoples comments were. At least with the BJCP sheet you can take the notes home and improve.

Thanks for hosting Timberly. Good times, though leaving these weekday meetings at 1am isn't so good in the morning

I like that idea, though it would probably have to be limited to a just a couple in a meeting (it takes a while to judge and discuss). I'd say if anyone wants a beer judged, they should just print off a bunch of BCJP judge sheets to bring with.sleepyjamie wrote:I personally would like to start seeing BJCP sheets at the meetings.
