Ok, for tonight it looks like it's just me, and maybe Adam. Is anyone else planning to attend? If not, maybe we should reschedule for some other time.

Adam, you're still welcome to stop by for a drink.

That's ok. I have a bomber of North Brewing's dark strong ale I'm going to practice tasting. My plan for a little later is to be drunk. :chug:

Wednesday or Thurs doesn't work for me (Banff Film Festival). I think Friday would be best for me.

Finally attempted and passed the Entrance Exam.

Congrats Josh!

Wednesday evening (early, need to be done by 9:30, 10:00 at the latest), or Saturday afternoon are the only times this week I can host. I can attend other times if someone else is able to host.

I've got an outdoor event Sat afternoon. I am available Thursday night, maybe Friday and Sunday night. I could probably even host Thursday night but it would have to finish by about 9:30 pm.

Should we say Sunday night then? I can host if needed. I also have some bland commercial beer (Stella and Keith's) that got abandoned at a poker game.

With our small group we should plan on 1 500 mL light beer per off flavour, plus the original. So if we do 3 off flavours then we would need 4 cans of the same beer. I think Stella would work fine. Do you have about 2 L of it?

Oh, no, just a 330 ml bottle of Stella and two cans of Keith's. I meant them as beers to judge. I know they're not everyone's favourites, but they are styles we should know. We could use them for that though. We still have three cans of bud light too.

Yeah it is good practice to judge the light lager category. It forces you to think about the small details and differences of each. I vote that we each bring a 500 mL can of Coors light (if that exist) in addition to whatever other commercial/home brew we are bringing. Also, don't mention the name/brewer of the beer that you are bringing, just the substyle. It will keep it more fun. With the number of people we had last time it seems like a 500 mL bottle/can is enough volume for a good tasting.

One last thing, does anybody want to volunteer to bring the plastic cups? They worked well last time.

Ok, so it's just me, Adam, and maybe Mike, since we haven't yet heard from him. Rob can't make it today either.

Did you guys just want to meet downtown for a beer instead? Stillwell is closed for something, but there's other places. gm- was looking for a place to drink tonight too, I can pm him and see if he's around, since he's probably not following this thread.
