My comment posted twice. I don't know why, I clearly hit submit four times. Goddamn I'm bad at forums.

Great!!! I reviewed your exam before I sent it off. I thought you did well. I may have the copy here if you're interested.

Yeah, that'd be great! I'm not in the city again for a couple weeks but I'll let you know when I am.

Nice work Ange!
Despite feeling like crap and thinking that I had did horribly that day, I managed to squeak out with an 81.
Cheers!

Damn, that is good! You too Josh. I got 74, so, good enough. It's 70, so I'll still be certified in a few more judging points. I think I'd do better if I wrote it again in a year or two (or now, for that matter), since I've learned a lot judging with the more experienced judges at Garrison and our competition. It'll be nice not to have to write rank pending on my score sheets next time around.
My biggest problem was that I scored one beer way too high (the IPA) and another beer way too low (the brown). Oops. That, and a lot of little things.

Three passes. I was only really worried about one exam. More the handwriting than anything.

Weren't there more than three of us? Or were the rest rewrites looking for higher scores?

Glad to hear the positive results! Congrats!!
CartoonCod and I had been talking about doing some judging tasting on a regular (monthly?) basis, to keep us filling out forms on a regular basis, and getting ourselves used to the new Style Guidelines, as they are currently optional, but will be mandatory soon enough. And for those folks hoping to sit the exam in 2016, it could be a good intro to the whole concept. Maybe we'll set up another thread for that.

Yes. I'll be away until mid July. These new set of rules will take some getting used to.

I'm hoping to judge a comp in London, ON in early August that is using the 2015 guidelines. I have some serious reading to do.
