Re: Hoptoberfest 2014 - September 20th in Halifax
A reminder: best to bring your own glasses, as we shouldn't expect Kyle to have 50 tasting glasses. Someone might remember to buy a sleeve of solo cups, but it's much more fun to drink from glass ones, and watch people do barrel rolls off the deck to save the glass and beer.
I will bring Brewnosers glasses, but they'll be for sale only (ie, don't use it and then give it back to me!). Tulips for $5, Shakers for $4. Stickers for cheap. And thanks to JeffSmith, we'll have business cards to distribute and show off to your friends and family. And to give to possible new members.

My first attempt at this Greek salad bruchetta. Going to make the hopped Greek salad dressing shortly.

I have two dozen plastic cups and paper plates, 18 small tasting glasses, and plenty of cutlery.
Can someone pick up more plates, cups, and napkins/paper towels?

Cascade lemon dressing has been made. Not sure if I'll brush it on the baguette or toss the bruchetta. Also I'll be taking the bus in tomorrow. I have a keg of beer, and a jockey box that needs to head in.

Hmmm. Bringing mussels. They can always be steamed with beer, but would they be better with hops as well?NASH wrote: It's the beer event of the year. Anyone bringing food not cooked with beer and or hops in one form or another needs to attend the Nash Culinary School Of Malt, Hops, Yeast & Water.

Not likely. I don't think it gets better than weizen, pepper, chilies, green onion and fresh minced garlic!

We have a two tap one already but I can't say how many taps we'll actually need. Your call, unless someone demands it.Keith wrote:Kyle, do you still need my jockey box?

Chris, I'll take one of those Brewnoser tulips.
Is there anything food wise we feel we're missing that can be bought or thrown together last minute?

I have a bunch of Solo beer cups and wine glasses for tasters. I also have a roll of paper towel (we can't have too much of that) and the coil for my J-box.
