The Black Gold was indeed there. That's how I finished my night off, that and a little nap at Kyles in the middle of a conversation.

Thanks, all for coming and bringing the awesome beer and food. I wish to thank our unofficial sponsors:
Gahan House for a truckload of ice and some tasty beer

that other beer festival for the tasting glasses
Mother Nature for the awesome weather

I brought a growler of Wreckoning in a BAB jug. It lived on the patio table near the grill til it was gone.

I had the Bad Apple Barrel-Aged RIS in my stainless steel growler. I've had it for a while, but this was the first time I'd had more than 3 people in one room at once (not a small beer you want to tackle solo). Any flaws, blame me, not the brewer!

I had a great time at my first Hoptoberfest. Great beer, great food, great conversation. I'm looking forward to Hoptoberfest 2015. Many thanks go to Kyle for hosting!

Beer is in the running for the healthiest of all alcoholic beverages. It has antibiotic, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties. It has been proven that drinking up to 3 beers a day decreases your risk of heart disease by around 30% and it also lowers your risk of getting diseases like diabetes. Beer is also chock full of important vitamins and minerals that you need to survive.

That was probably what Gary tried - he was in that general area. I likely had some too but... :drunk:

It was a growler with "RIS" written on the cap, on the table by the side of the house. Can't recall who, but someone brought me over to the table, handed me the growler and said "try that"...

Hopefully that helps with the beer identification :)

These items are on my back deck for the taking. If you own one and don't intend to collect it let me know.

These items are in my fridge so you'll have to make arrangements with me to pick them up. Again, if you own one and don't intend to collect it let me know.
