Brewnosers at the Seaport Beerfest
Hey folks! The Brewnosers have once again been invited to take part in the Seaport Beerfest, happening Aug 11th & 12th at the Cunard Centre. Like last year, we are partnering with the Ladies Beer League to help pour beer! The "Tap Local" table will feature a rotating selection of special and one-off beers that are not available anywhere else at the fest. I've brewed a collab beer with 2 Crows, the LBL have done the same with Tidehouse, plus there will be at least one keg from TrailWay, and some special cellared keg(s) from Tatamagouche.
In addition to the beer pouring (from kegs this time, not casks, so no beer showers!), we will have our standard setup with a jockey box of homemade sodas (anyone want to volunteer for those, I can supply empty kegs), maybe dog treats, and our ingredient/equipment demo table.
There are three sessions, and I would love to have 4 people at each one.
Friday 6:00-9:30
Saturday 1:00-4:30
Saturday 6:00-9:30
(We should be there 20-30min early for each session)
With 4 of us at each session, we are able to rotate through and give everyone plenty of time to walk the floor and grab some tasty beer. You volunteering at the table is your ticket in, no need to pay!
Any questions, please let me know!
Here's the list of the breweries in attendance, and the beers they'll be pouring: https://seaportbeerfest.com/breweries
Happy to say that the list is getting better and better each year!

Hi folks, just giving this a bump, so far there are only 2 of us available, so could use your help to give us some reinforcements.
Volunteering for one session will get you a half-priced ticket to attend, sell, or give-away; volunteering for two sessions will get you a free one! Plus enjoying beer while you chat homebrewing or beer or politics with your fellow human beings.
Thanks for your consideration!

I would love to, but for the millionth year in a row it's on the "wrong" weekend. I'd even have a soft drink of my own to serve! Maybe next year. :/

Hi Lisa and Jeramy, I think we are good for people right now, but if that changes, I'll let you know.
Thanks for the offer! If you're interested in the Sept 30 event, let me know.

Chris, I'll put my name in for the 30th. Things can change and I may have to back out, but I want to do this.

Re: Brewnosers at the Seaport Beerfest
Just a note to say thanks to Dustin, Celiac, KB1138, and Kyle&Co for the great help Friday and Saturday. We ended up pouring 6 kegs (20L each) from 4 breweries, including 2 that weren't otherwise at the Fest. Lots of great feedback on the beer, and our Sat afternoon session was full of folks interested in homebrewing, and upping their game.
On a personal note, it was great to meet, or see again, some of you who read the forum. Including Maltster!! So happy to have chatted for a few minutes, hope to meet up for another pint soon!
